So why does Rory have a trachy? A&R were born so early that they relied on a ventilator in order to breathe. That ventilator tube caused scar tissue in his airway which in turn collapsed/narrowed his windpipe. The tracheostomy enables Rory to bypass the narrowed airway and breathe via his tube. #tracheostomy #globaltracheostomyawarenessweek #raisingawareness
